Polar bears are the largest carnivorous land mammals, measuring about seven to eight feet (2.1 to 2.4 meters) from the nose to the tip of their tail. They can weigh anywhere between 900 and 1,600 pounds (approximately 400-730 kilograms). Additionally, the male of the species are usually twice the size of females and can weigh as much as 10 men, according to World Wildlife Fund.
